1. Welcome

This website, tonallirestaurant.ca, is operated by Tonalli Restaurant, doing business as Tonalli Restaurant (“Tonalli”, “we”, “us”), located at 253 Boulevard Saint-Joseph, Gatineau, Quebec J8Y 3X5,

By using this site, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and the version posted here is the one that applies.

2. What this site is for

This site gives you information about our restaurant: our story, our menus, our hours, our location, and how to reach us. It also lets you send us an inquiry about a private event, and it links out to our reservation system and our social media pages.

3. Menus, prices and hours

We keep the site as accurate as we can, but menus, prices, hours, and availability change. The menu and prices shown in the restaurant are the ones that apply. All prices on this site are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and do not include taxes or gratuity unless we say so.

Photographs of food and of the restaurant are for illustration. Presentation and portions may differ.

4. Food allergies and dietary needs

Our kitchen handles many ingredients, including nuts, gluten, dairy, shellfish, eggs, soy and sesame. We cannot guarantee that any dish is free from a given allergen, and cross-contact is possible.

If you have an allergy, an intolerance or a dietary restriction, tell our staff before you order so we can help you choose. The information on this site is general and is not a substitute for speaking with our team.

5. Reservations

Reservations are handled through Libro Serve, which is not part of this site. When you click the reservation link you leave tonallirestaurant.ca and you are bound by the terms and the privacy policy of that provider.

Our own rules apply once you book with us:

• Please arrive within [15] minutes of your reservation time. After that we may release the table.
• For groups of [12] or more we may ask for a credit card to hold the reservation, or ask you to choose from a set menu.
• To cancel or change a reservation, use the confirmation link you received or call us at (873) 880-8008.

We are not responsible for a reservation that fails because of a technical problem at the booking provider, but if that happens please call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

6. Private event and group inquiries

The form on this site is a request for information. Sending it does not reserve a date and does not create a contract.

A private event is confirmed only when we send you a written confirmation and, where it applies, once you have signed our event agreement and paid the deposit. Menu selections, minimum spend, deposit, cancellation terms and final guest counts are set out in that agreement.

Please give us accurate information in the form so we can answer you properly.

7. Gift cards

Under Quebec law a gift card cannot have an expiry date on the amount paid, and no fee may be charged for its use. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires it. Lost or stolen cards are treated as Customer Protection Act. 

8. Our content

Everything on this site, including the Tonalli name, logo, menus, text, photographs, videos, illustrations and page design, belongs to us or to our partners and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may view the site, print pages for your own personal use, and share links to it. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell or modify our content for commercial purposes without our written permission. Write to tonallirestaurant.info@gmail.com if you would like to use something.

9. Content you send us and social media

If you send us a message, a photo or a comment through this site or tag us on social media, you confirm that it is yours to share and that it does not break any law or anyone else’s rights.

If you tag us publicly or use our hashtags, you permit us to reshare that content on our own social media and website, with credit to your account. Ask us at tonallirestaurant.info@gmail.com if you want a post taken down, and we will remove it.

We may remove any content that is abusive, misleading, hateful, or that breaks these terms.

10. Links to other sites

Our site links to third-party services such as our booking provider, our social media pages, map services and, later on, online ordering. We do not control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, their availability or their practices. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

11. Acceptable use

When you use this site, please do not:

• Break any law or regulation
• Try to gain access to parts of the site that are not public
• Introduce a virus or any harmful code
• Copy or scrape the site by automated means without our permission
• Send false, abusive or misleading information through our forms
• Use the site in a way that damages it or interferes with other visitors

12. Availability

We try to keep the site up and running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time, including for maintenance.

13. Our responsibility

We provide this site in good faith and take care with the information on it. Except for what is written here, we make no warranty about the site or its content.

We are not responsible for indirect loss that results from using the site, such as lost profit or lost opportunity, or from a problem with a third-party service we link to.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for bodily or moral injury, for gross or intentional fault, or for anything that cannot be limited under Quebec law, including the Consumer Protection Act.

14. Accessibility

We want the site to work for everyone. If you have trouble using any part of it, write to tonallirestaurant.info@gmail.com and tell us what happened, and we will help you and work on a fix.

16. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws in force in Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be brought before the courts of the judicial district of Gatineau, Quebec, unless the law gives you the right to sue elsewhere.

17. Language

These terms are provided in French and in English. The French version prevails in case of any difference between the two.
